Hi Dorothy,

I have only now caught up with this thread about the Bangor Cree line. Some members may have assumed that Trevor Cree is to blame for the errors you have alerted us to, but that is not so, The Cree Surname website is my responsibility. I originally had the two Hugh Crees as you have pointed out they should be. (The CreeID number indicates this if you look carefully.) There was a problem which seemed to indicate that I should swap them over. As a result of your posts and checking more thoroughly in my records I have now swapped them back. This raised the original problem which is that Hugh and Eliza (Majorie) Cree have two sons named Henry, born in 1869 and 1888. This normally only happens when the first of the two has died. However this didn't happen here. Henry Cree born 1869 was definitely still alive at the 1911 Census. I guess he had left home when the second Hanry was named in 1888. (He actually married in 1889 at age 19.)

Is there any other explanation? Anyway I shall leave it as is now. I would be very pleased if you would check through the Cree Online Database as it affects the Bangor line and let me know of any further errors or omissions. Please note that details of living persons are not included in order to protect their privacy.

Best Wishes,
