Donna, I put a picture on of your family (my Uncle Bill, Aunt Mary, your mother May and William).  The three other members of the family in the picture are, I believe, Aunt Mary's sons from her first marriage but I do not know their names.  Help!

Donna,

Welcome to the Cree Family History Network and many thanks for your message and for posting the photographs. Clearly there are many people on the Network who are related to you based on your Cree family origin in Northern Ireland. You probably already know that William James Cree (Cree ID 10066) and his wife Mary Montgomery (Cree ID 10203) can be found on the Cree Genealogy Database (http://www.cree.name/home/index.html). Simply put the number in the green Quicksearch box and that will take you to the relevant page. William J Cree was the son of George Frederick Valentine Cree and to follow that Cree line back simply click on the gold lettering each time it states 'the son of'.

As far as things stand it would appear that the paper trail so far leads back to Andrew Cree Sr. (Cree ID 6274) who in 1789 took out a lease on land at Ballybarnes, near Newtownards, County Down.

I believe that you have stated that William J Cree and Mary Montgomery had a son William Cree who is currently missing from the family tree? It would appear that Leonard (Cree) has undertaken a lot of research into your Cree line and it may be worth sending Leonard a message via the Network.
