Angela,

Many thanks for uploading all of those wonderful photos that put faces to the names within the cree.name records. It is interesting when we can locate Emmeline L Cree who married Edgar P Sloan and then trace her Cree forbears all of the way back to Robert Cree Sr. of Cumberland Township, PA, in the 1700s. One day we hope to make a positive DNA connection between the Cree descendants of Robert Cree Sr. and some living Cree relatives in Ireland, Scotland or England, and by doing so hopefully take this Cree line back to the 1600s and perhaps beyond.

Hello! Sorry it took so long to return! I am excited to become a part of this great site, and hope to be of help to others, vice versa :) Thank you for having me. I am here on the behalf of my Cree family-calling out from Madison County, Indiana! I actually grew up- and still live- on the Indiana Homestead Farm that our Cree family members helped to Pioneer. I have much information to share, but of course, I am also missing a few links to the puzzle. Fortunately, my Great Grandmother, Elizabeth Jarrett Windsor, kept detailed and organized information, as well as did her predecessors.

Hi Angela and Happy New Year!Welcome to the Cree Network!

I like the look of the photo you have on your profile. It looks really old from the dresses. I have enlarged it in an attempt to read the handwriting. I can see the word Cree twice. Is it Bert Cree? And Elizabeth something Cree. Then "The Old Farm."

Sounds like there's an interesting history to be told there. How about sharing it with the Network?

Best Wishes,
Mike Spathaky
